SindNova is focusing its operations on: industrial relations, collective bargaining and workers participation; European Work Councils; organisation and conditions of work; labour market policies, equal opportunities; health and safety; eco-compatible industrial change. Comparatives studies as well as consulting and training in the above areas are the main activities carried out by SindNova, normally in cooperation with universities, others research institutes, social partners and companies. To address environment related issues SindNova is associated with ECOMAN srl, a specialized agency in this field European Work Councils SindNova has gained, over the years, considerable knowledge and expertise in the process of establishing and servicing of EWCs. In this respect of particular relevance are the activities concerning: Ferrero, Enel, Cementir, Italcementi, Autostrade per l’Italia, FCA, Heinz, Bosch, Miroglio, Indesit, AugustaWestland, Barilla, Lukoil et Bunge. The multiannual project “OPERA” also offers training opportunity to EWCs members in a number of transnational companies.
Partnerships SindNova is developing active partnership with similar trade unions related Institutes in Italy and abroad especially in relations with projects co-funded by the EU Commission. This concerns: Fondazione Di Vittorio (Rome), Ires (France), Fundacion 1° de Mayo (Spain), HBS (Germany), Fondazione Brodolini (Rome), Syndex (France) and ETUI (Brussels). Partneships exist also with trade union organisations such as ETUC, IndustriAll Europe, EFFAT, EFBWW, Uni-Europa, CFDT, UGT, CC.OO., Turkey-EU Coordination Commission, Turk-Is, Hak-Is, Disk, Kesk.
Structures SindNova is based in Rome and recognised under the Italian Law as a no profit association. Its Board is composed by the General Secretaries of the following CISL branch unions: Fim (metal), Fai (agroindustry), Filca (construction), Fit (transports), Flaei (energy). The president is Emilio Gabaglio and the director is Claudio Stanzani. |
